The Amazon Influencer Program lets creators earn a commission on Amazon purchases they influence. Most people join, build a storefront, share the link twice and then forget it exists. Here’s how it actually works.
How you get in: You apply with one social account (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or Facebook). Amazon doesn’t publish a follower minimum. It looks at your engagement and whether you post product-related content like reviews, hauls and tutorials. Apply with the account where your audience is most active, not necessarily your biggest one.
Your storefront: Once you’re approved, you get your own page at amazon.com/shop/yourname. You fill it with idea lists and recommended products and earn a commission when people shop through it. Rates depend on the product category, roughly 1% to 10%.
Onsite videos (the part most people miss): You can upload review videos that, once approved, appear right on Amazon product pages. Those videos can earn you commission from shoppers who have never heard of you. Your storefront needs you to send it traffic. Onsite videos get traffic from Amazon itself.
What not to do: Don’t build a storefront and wait. A storefront with no traffic earns nothing.
What to do instead: Film short, honest reviews of products you already own and upload them consistently. Every approved video is one more place you can earn. Keep an eye out for Creator Connections in your dashboard too. That’s where brands offer bonus commissions on specific campaigns.
